Code of Ethics & Business Practices

When carrying out assignments, Muntz Marine Surveyors, LLC will abide by the Code of Ethics of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS) and the Ethics and Competence Rules of Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and Advisory Opinions (USPAP) published by The Appraisal Foundation.

You can also be assured that our allegiance is to our Clients only:

We will only accept assignments that we expect to be able to complete with professional competence and in an ethical manner.

We will treat any survey confidentially and only the Client will be informed of the results.

We will refuse any assignment that would create a conflict of interest.

We will accept compensation from the Client only.

We will give the Client an honest opinion on the condition of the boat surveyed, without suppressing, over-emphasizing or manipulating facts.
